Hot Property: City Market Social House in DTLA

City Market Social House, a contemporary, beautifully-restored warehouse, is the newest addition to event space in downtown, located in the Los Angeles Fashion District. The property has over 14,000 square feet of full service indoor and outdoor space for up to 1,000 guests.

Historically part of one of the largest produce markets in Los Angeles, the area surrounding City Market Social House consists of a collection of pre-World War II commercial and community buildings originally constructed in 1909. In its heyday, Chinese and Japanese vendors ran a thriving business of wholesale fresh fruits and vegetables. Today, this neighborhood is embracing its second life as part of the City Market South lifestyle and hospitality development project.

Located just one mile from the Los Angeles Convention Center, this new venue is an ideal location for events of all types. Because of the flexibility of the space, it can transform to host major industry events, award shows, opening and closing receptions, product launches, conferences, filming or even large private celebrations.

The main building, Studio 14, is an expanse of nearly 9,000 square feet. With exposed beams, built-in lighting and garage style doors that allow for tons of light or branding opportunities, the space is truly unique. Even though the space is newly opened, it has already hosted major events like Create & Cultivate, ESPN's Heroes at the ESPYS, Budweiser's NBA All Star Weekend party which featured a T-Pain concert, various filmings, and other private events. The studio can seat up to 600 or accommodate up to 800 for a standing reception. 

The adjacent space, Studio 13, adds another 2,000 square feet that can be used in conjunction with the main space or separately for smaller groups of 150-200.

If you’re looking for outdoor space, not to worry. City Market Social House also offers both a patio and an outdoor courtyard. The Patio, adjacent to Studio 14, can accommodate up to 200 reception-style and create an indoor/outdoor experience for your event. The outdoor courtyard, with access to either of the buildings can accommodate another 100-185.  As an added bonus, the neighborhood offers tons of available parking even for large scale events.
