Shop 'til you Drop

Plan for some group downtime at Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice, a shopper’s dream of small boutiques selling unique clothing and artisan-made items. Or take a stroll down The Venice Oceanfront Walk, lined with gift shops and local artists selling their wares. The main streets of Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach and Long Beach also offer plenty of shops to explore.

Waterfront Activities

Some fun in the sun may be just the recharge the group needs when the business day ends—and activities like biking, surfing and volleyball are all possible down at the beaches. Schedule a dining cruise, cocktail cruise or an excursion to nearby Catalina Island via Hornblower Cruises & Events.

 

For business visitors with time for a side trip, the quaint harbor town of San Pedro has lots to see. Its award-winning Downtown Harbor and Town Square is a landscaped plaza, promenade and pier offering views of recreational vessels coming in and out of the inlet. Take the group on a tour of the Battleship IOWA. It’s permanently anchored at the Port of Los Angeles as an interactive naval museum and living memorial. Another gem for an extracurricular activity: CRAFTED, a restored warehouse that is now a permanent craft marketplace where more than 100 local artists, craftspeople and artisan food makers sell their wares and give workshops. San Pedro is also the launch point for cruise adventures. Ships depart regularly for Baja, California, Alaska, Mexico and Hawaii. Catalina Express ferries head out regularly to Catalina Island and Spirit Cruises and Hornblower Cruises take visitors on harbor tours and whale-watching trips.
