Los Angeles is ready for its closeup: Instagram has named the City of Angels the sixth most-Instagrammed city in the world for 2016, based on geotags.

Two of L.A.'s most popular destinations are listed in the Most Instagrammed Locations of 2016: Universal Studios Hollywood and its sister theme parks are ranked second in the world, and the landmark Santa Monica Pier is at Number 8. At Number 14, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is the highest ranking airport in the list.
