The highest-attended genre film festival in the U.S., Beyond Fest returns for its 11th edition with a 55-feature slate spanning 15 days of cinematic excess. Screenings will take place at the Aero Theatre, Los Feliz 3 and Regency Village Theatre.

The stacked lineup features numerous Q&As, including James Cameron (The Abyss), Michael Mann (Manhunter), Malcolm McDowell (Caligula), Brad Bird (The Iron Giant), Guillermo del Toro (Pacific Rim) and a tribute to Roger Corman, featuring a panel with Corman, Joe Dante, Ron Howard and more.

Featuring a wide range of films, gourmet food trucks and live music, Street Food Cinema presents Saturday night screenings at outdoor locations from The Autry Museum to Los Angeles State Historic Park, Will Rogers State Historic Park and Verdugo Park in Glendale.

Halloween screenings at The Autry include Shaun of the Dead (Oct. 7), the original Halloween (Oct. 14) and Hocus Pocus (Oct. 28). Other screenings include Practical Magic at Will Rogers on October 7; and Halloweentown at Verdugo Park on October 21. The Ford will host a special screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Saturday, October 28.

This Halloween season, the Hollywood Roosevelt's popular poolside movie series transforms into Tropicana Spooky Movie Nights, taking place every Tuesday at 8pm. Screening at the famed David Hockney pool, the lineup includes the original Ghostbusters (Oct. 3), The Addams Family (Oct. 10), Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Oct. 17), Hocus Pocus (Oct. 24) and The Shining on Halloween Night.

Advance tickets at Eventbrite are required. Food and drink available to order at the bar to be delivered to your table. Dress up in the theme of the movie to receive a free cocktail or candy at the concession stand. The event is free for hotel guests, and everyone gets free popcorn!

Movie highlights include Hocus Pocus on Friday the 13th; Alejandro Jodorowsky’s Santa Sangre, presented by the RENDEZVOUS DJ collective (Oct. 14); "Road House as Folk Horror" lecture and screening (Oct. 20); and a family-friendly Sunday matinee on October 22, featuring Roger Corman's Attack of the Crab Monsters and a book signing with the authors of Giant Beast Cinema.

Quentin Tarantino's New Beverly Cinema is showing Halloween movies throughout October, from double features to grindhouse flicks to kid-friendly matinees. On Halloween Night, the New Beverly will screen a Tod Browning double feature: Freaks and Mark of the Vampire.

Located in the former Silent Movie Theatre space in the Fairfax District, Brain Dead Studios is a repertory arthouse cinema showing an eclectic lineup of films from the silent era to modern day.

The month-long Heroes and Villains lineup celebrates monstrosity in destruction, glory and misunderstanding: "Let’s strap on the costumes and go into the Id for dress-ups, debauchery, and leaning towards the next world from this one. The monster is you, you is the monster — the reflection in the water goes from Orpheus to Frankenstein to The Spirit of the Beehive to Zoolander."

The longest-running midnight movie of all time, The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) stars Tim Curry as the kinky yet endearing “transsexual from Transylvania” Dr. Frank N. Furter; Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick as his hapless guests Janet and Brad; Meat Loaf as motorcycle-riding rough trade; and author Richard O’Brien as the hunchbacked butler Riff Raff.

Nearly 50 years after its original release, The Rocky Horror Picture Show is still the best interactive movie experience for longtime fans and newbies alike. In October, the Landmark Nuart Theatre is screening Rocky Horror every Saturday night (plus Friday, October 27) at 11pm with Live Shadow Cast. Let's do the Time Warp again!

On Saturday, October 7, Paramount Scares and Hollywood Forever present a special 30th anniversary screening of Addams Family Values. The Addams welcome a new addition to their household, a baby boy named Pubert. While Gomez (Raul Julia) and Morticia (Anjelica Huston) dote on their new son, Wednesday (Christina Ricci) and Pugsley (Jimmy Workman) are less enthusiastic about their new sibling and plot ways to get rid of him. Meanwhile, a nanny (Joan Cusack) is hired to help and ends up capturing the heart of Uncle Fester (Christopher Lloyd). When the nanny’s true intentions are revealed, the Addams family must come together to stop her evil plans.

Tickets are $18. Gates open at 5:45pm and the movie starts at 7:30pm. Guests may bring blankets, pillows, low chairs and picnics including beer and wine – NO distilled spirits. There will also be food and beverage available for purchase on-site.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, Disney is re-releasing the wonderfully macabre classic on the big screen. No matter how many times you’ve watched The Nightmare Before Christmas, there's nothing like experiencing it at the El Capitan Theatre with interactive 4D sensory effects - lights, fog, scents, wind and snow! There's also a new commemorative poster created by Shepard Fairey’s Studio Number One, specialty concessions, souvenirs and more.

LA's living museum of 19th and early 20th century architecture and history, Heritage Square is hosting Boo-ze, Bites & Frights - back-to-back outdoor double features presented in collaboration with Street Food Cinema.

Co-presented by Paramount Scares, Night 1 features Scary Movie and Scream on Friday, October 20. Saturday night's "screamings" are I Know What You Did Last Summer and The Cabin In the Woods. Both nights feature Haunted Victorian Home Tours, Adult Trick-or-Treating, Food Truck Delights and Eerie Elixirs.

LA Opera's annual Halloween mash-up of horror and live music returns to the spectacular Theatre at Ace Hotel with James Whale's The Bride of Frankenstein (1935), starring Boris Karloff as the legendary monster and Elsa Lanchester in the dual role of Mary Shelley and the titular character.

Conducted by Jenny Wong, the LA Opera Orchestra will perform Franz Waxman's groundbreaking original soundtrack live - the ultimate audience experience for a truly iconic film. Performances on Friday and Saturday, October 27 and 28. Tickets on sale at the Theatre website.

"What's this? What's this?" It's the 30th anniversary of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, and LA's reigning Pumpkin King, Danny Elfman will return to the Hollywood Bowl for three nights to perform his role of Jack Skellington with a live orchestra and special guests TBA! Come early for the costume contest and explore the grounds in an incredible trick-or-treat adventure for kids of all ages.

It's "Horror in the Hall" with The Phantom of the Opera (1925), screening on Halloween Night at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Downtown LA. The great Lon Chaney ("The Man of a Thousand Faces") stars in the title role as Erik, wearing ghastly makeup that he famously designed himself. Organ virtuoso Clark Wilson will perform an eerie, atmospheric soundtrack on the Hall’s "monstrous" pipe organ to accompany one of the most influential horror films of the silent era.

On Halloween Night, Cinespia presents a screening of Rosemary's Baby (1968) and costume party at the historic Orpheum Theatre in Downtown LA.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest horror films of all time, Rosemary's Baby tells the story of a young couple that moves into a spooky building with an infamous past. After a monstrous, hallucinatory night, Rosemary Woodhouse (Mia Farrow) learns of a pregnancy that turns her saccharine life into something sinister. Is it paranoia that makes Rosemary suspicious of her neighbors, or is there cause for satanic panic? The stellar supporting cast includes John Cassavetes as Rosemary's husband Guy; Ruth Gordon in an Oscar-winning performance; Ralph Bellamy and Charles Grodin in his feature film debut.

American Cinematheque presents The Innocents (1961) at the Los Feliz Theatre on Halloween Night. The brilliant Deborah Kerr stars as a repressed governess who's convinced that ghosts haunt the mansion and grounds of her innocent young charges (Martin Stephens, Pamela Franklin). Jack Clayton’s gothic psychological thriller was inspired by Henry James’ The Turn of the Screw and adapted with the help of Truman Capote.
